Golf Impact Competition

The Golf Impact competition is for golfers who love freedom and a little fire.
No fixed play days, no complicated regulations, just playing when it suits you. Every 14 days you get a new opponent, and together you arrange where and when you play.

Whether you work in the hospitality industry, have irregular services or just like to determine your own agenda, you can participate in Golf Impact!

How does it work?

Department:  win = 3 points, draw = 1 point, loss = 0 points

Game format:  Matchplay with handicap adjustment. Tee selection according to the NGF guidelines.

9 or 18 holes?  Choose yourself, together with your opponent. Whatever suits you best.

Court selection: You and your opponent decide together where you want to play. This can also be indoors.

Handicap:  You will be classified in a group with players of a similar level

Availability:  Are you (largely) not available? Pass this on in your personal calendar, then you will not be classified that round

Watching live:  via 'My competition' you see your stand, results and progress of others live

Frequently asked questions

Who can participate in the competition?

Anyone with an active golf handicap can participate. We hand in players on the basis of disability, so that you always play against an equal opponent.

How do I register?

The GolfImpact competition is free for paying GolfImpact members. You can register through our website. After registering, you'll receive a confirmation with further details about when the next competition starts.

Can I register as a group or company?

Yes! You can register with a group or organize an internal competition as a company. Contact us for the possibilities.

How many matches do I have to play?

You can play as many games as you want, but to be able to qualify for the knockout phase you have to play at least 8 games.

Is there a registration fee?

The competition is free for paying GolfImpact members. Not a paying member yet? Register now and enter the competition for free!

How are the competitions drawn?

In the first round, players are linked within their own League based on their handicap. The layout is then determined on the basis of draw and whether you are available in a round.

When should I play my game?

Every two weeks you will receive Eenmail with your next opponent. From that date you have 4 weeks to determine a date and location with your opponent and actually play the match.

What if I don't have time to play? Or if I am injured? Or is not possible at the end?

Via 'My competition' you can indicate when you are unable to attend (vacation, illness, no sense). You will not receive an opponent for that period. You are expected to play at least 8 games in total.

Are you suddenly prevented (overtime, informal care, sick/weak or nauseous)? Then contact your opponent and immediately make a new appointment.

Note: A no-show without consultation with your opponent is always converted into a lost match (4 & 3)

Which game form is being played?

The competition is played in Matchplay format . This means that you play per hole for the win, instead of a total score over 9 or 18 holes.

Do I play 9 or 18 holes? And where do I play it? And from which tee?

You decide the number of holes entirely yourself. The standard competition is 9 holes, but you can also play 18 holes if you prefer.

You and your opponent will choose a golf course in the Amsterdam area . This makes the competition accessible and flexible. If you prefer to play further afield, that's certainly allowed! You can also play your matches indoors if you agree on that together.

You will play from the tee that matches the NGF recommendations for the course you have chosen.

How do I pass on my result?

After the game you and your opponent enter the result via our online portal. This is easy to do via your phone.

What if my opponent and I disagree about the result?

If there are discussions about the result, please contact the organization. We can assess the situation and, where necessary, use the NGF rules.

Need even more rules?

We will supplement these rules where it appears to be where necessary
