Matchplay Competition Rules

 1. Applicability

These regulations apply to all matches and competitions organized Golf Impact matchplay format , unless otherwise indicated. By participating in a competition, players agree to these regulations.


 

2. Game format

All competitions will be played in the match-play format as defined in Rule 3 of the Rules of Golf (R&A/USGA) .

Each hole is a separate battle; the player who wins a hole is "1 up," etc.

The competition ends when a player has more holes ahead than there are left to play .


 

3. Rules applicable

The competitions will be played according to the official Rules of Golf (R&A/USGA) , including all updates.

In addition, the provisions in these regulations and any local rules apply.

In cases not provided for in these regulations, the competition management of Golf Impact .


 

4. Arrange and play on time

Both players are responsible for finding a suitable golf course together on the specified date and time (as indicated on the website or by email). Please be mindful of each other's preferences; the goal is to have fun.

If players do not make an appointment, the match may not played or cancelled .

In case of unforeseen circumstances (such as prolonged illness or injury), the competition management will decide on an alternative date.


 

5. Submitting results

The winner of the match is responsible for reporting the result via the official results form.

The result must be reported within 24 hours of playing .

• After the result has been submitted, the opposing party must approve or reject the result 24 hours of submission

If both players fail to confirm the result in time, the match will be void unless otherwise determined by the match committee.


 

6. Conflicts & disagreements about results

In case of any dispute about the result, players must report this to the match management within 24 hours

The Tournament Director will hear both players and make a decision in accordance with Rule 20.2 of the Rules of Golf .

If the facts cannot be satisfactorily established, the match management may decide to: Record the match as a draw annul the result , or make another appropriate decision based on reasonableness and fairness.

Deliberately misleading behaviour may lead to exclusion from the competition .


 

7. Absence or non-appearance

If a player fails to appear at the agreed time and place without a valid reason, the match will be awarded to the opponent.

In case of repeated failure to perform, the player may be removed from the competition.


 

8. Local rules & track conditions

Players must comply with the applicable local rules of the golf course on which play is being conducted.

If there is any doubt about the application of a local rule, the matter should be discussed and reported to the match management afterwards.

Bad weather conditions may lead to postponement or adjustment of the match, only after consultation with the match management.


 

9. Fair play & sportsmanship

Sportsmanship is paramount at Golf Impact. Unsportsmanlike behavior, intimidation, or foul play will not be tolerated .

If unsportsmanlike conduct is observed, a warning or penalty will be issued. Recurrence may result in exclusion from (further) participation.


 

10. Other provisions

In case of technical errors or errors in the playing schedule, the match management will decide based on the situation.

The competition management reserves the right to amend these regulations at any time. Any changes will be communicated to participants in a timely manner.
